Operational Model
- Goal clarity - we are here to democratize production, create the open source economy via collaborative design
- Incentives - get trained. Possibly lifelong membership in a facility, pending certification of productive machine use in the realm of onsite access to tools of production - in the sense of Walmart of Local Production - making the walmarts and Amazons obsolete for consumer goods.
- Farm Operations - integrated polyculture with direct local marketing, farm manager runs this operation to produce for onsite and offsite subscribers.
- Hackerspace - access to tools, with minimal trainnig. Online certification and test feeds into collaborative design repository. Could generate value from participants by participants submitting 'designs for production'. If approved, there is a site fee, plus fee for materials. The Tech Shop with a workable business model based on open source equipment and collaborative design of the facility.
- Materials production - this could be going on 24/7 for common materials such as rocks, compost, lumber, steel, 3D printing filament, concrete, CEBs. This feeds the makerspace and education, combines with R&D as we are innovating.
- Remote Mentorship - deep dive intended to succeed in enterprise replication, with access to onsite Summers of Extreme Design-Build. Aimed at certification and enterprise replication.
- Apprenticeship - part school, part practice, for learning best practice. Aimed at certification and enterprise replication.
- Global Community - through upvote, Solving Pressing World Issues Forum, OSE Workshops FB Group, remote quality control functions on Forum, collaborative video repo and edits with Google Photos, Pinterest inspiration, massive online collaborative build game, Extreme Enterprise Hackathons, meetups, and other. Regular Incentive Challenges. Core training program in Collaborative Literacy and Design Guide topics - the collaborative design and social impact version of Fab Academy.
- Tech School - Hacking the tech degree for innivation as opposed to promoting industry inertia.
- Bachelors' and Masters' Programs - hacking higher ed with practical skill training in addition to theory, so we increase the number of producers and reduce parasitic economic activity
- PhD in Open Source Ecology - hacking higher learning towards Movement Entrepreneurship.
