Basics
- The material resulting from Pyrolysis of Biomass
- May contain some trapped Pyrolysis Oil and Ash (depends on many factors)
Uses
Fuel Synthesis
- Fuels can be produces by gasification of charcoal to produce CO and H2, followed by synthesis of longer chain hydrocarbons with iron catalyst. This is called Fischer-Tropsch synthesis. [1]
Soil Improvement
Engine Fuel
Gasoline engines can also burn gases generated from charcoal that is burned using a gasifier. This is an accessible transportation technology today.
