Pages to monitor

Most of the following pages can be seen in Special:SpecialPages. They are useful lists that track areas for improvement all around the wiki. In a nutshell, we should aim to clean up these listings as often as we can.

Other notes

  1. Each of the tools (listed at GVCS tools) should have a standardized, clear, navigable set of instructions. See Product Template. The CEB Press and LifeTrac are the priorities
  2. Merge different development templates: GVCS Development Template, Global Village Construction Set - 'deployment' and 'product cycle' sections, possibly others scattered around the wiki and blog post them here
  3. Merge pages listed at Category:Pages to merge
  4. See the list of 'Wanted' tags on the wiki and take care of them
  5. Category: Candidates for speedy deletion should be reviewed and acted upon
  6. Special: WantedCategories and Special: WantedTemplates provide lists with categories and templates that potentially need to be merged or removed.
  7. Many pages are very small and can be merged into larger related pages. When done, the smaller page should be turned into a redirect to the larger page.
  8. Go thru Special:Allpages and Special:UncategorizedPages and categorize each page using the breadcrumb template (explained here)
  9. Find pages in nonstandard categories (check the list of categories) and put them in standard categories. (The list of standard categories will need to be expanded over time.)

Merging and moving pages

  1. Standardize the list of the GVCS tools. There are conflicting lists at RepLab, Product Ecologies (says there are 49 tools), Global Village Construction Set (says there are 28 tools)
  2. Add a page on explaining how to use templates and listing available templates.
  3. Please add pictures to as many pages as possible. It doesn't matter if they don't provide extra information; they just make the page nicer to look at.
