Basics
- A Liquid Fuel consisting of 98% Ethanol, typically Denatured Ethanol
- The “denaturant” can be many things, but typically:
- Gasoline
- A (more) toxic Alcohol such as Methanol (or more rarely Isopropanol or Butanol )
- A Highly Bitter Powder
- Not as widespread as E-85, but typically sold as a Motorsports Fuel (“racing fuel”) due to the desirable characteristics of Ethanol in applications where Fuel Efficiency / Specific Energy etc matter less
