Talk:Hydrothermal Carbonization
I'd need to read up on this, but given the Pyrolysis Oil / Bio-Tar content, i would imagine it would not be a good soil additive (essentially like watering your garden with Waste Motor Oil , but yeah.
The orignal edits may have been referring to some sort of process where only a Charcoal / Carbon Black Type Substance remains though, in which case they would be right.
I need to read up more on this, but i thought i'd point that out.

I revisited this, i removed some of the SPECIFICS and added a section mentioning how one can tune the process to make an oily lignite like “biocoal”, or produce a Petcoke / Carbon Black like “Hydrochar”
I’ll give that article a read too!
(Sidenote, sorry for messing up the aesthetics! It may need to be adjusted a bit by whoever is good with the image coding and whatnot. I think I’ll keep the SEM Image and remove the soil one? I’ll do that but am 100% open to discussion on this / reverting to both images being on the page. Just thinking in terms of readability (although this can be addressed by people who can code the images into better spots maybe))
