Hello! I'm just typing all this to throw out some stuff i found useful when i was starting out:
- Wiki Cheatsheet - you seem to have WAY more code and all that experience (already using linux and all that) but this is useful for the wiki formatting and whatnot
- The search engine on the wiki is b a d. So it may not even recognize plurals, so some searches may need like 3 variations to "get it" (i am trying to make redirects for all those whenever i encounter them)
- Also i made this sort of "table of contents" (a pile of it is essentially placeholder ideas of mine): Construction Sets
- Not the most active but there are some "sub groups"
- Finally feel free to join the slack and/or discord channels for OSE (Links may be dead, i can grab a new one if need be):
- OSE Discord
- OSE Slack Channel
- I guess that's about it and it's late where i am, so i am logging off for the day. Should be back on in 6-12hrs or so feel free to ping me and whatnot if you need help with something!

Thanks! I haven't reviewed the Discussion page etiquette or anything but wanted to let you know I've seen your message.
I've edited my profile to tell a little more about me. While I've been proximate to these things for a very long time (I first installed a linux OS 20 years ago), in many ways I am not experienced, particularly with collaborating. I am a filthy casual. So I appreciate your reaching out.
I have at times joined wikiprojects (wikisource is my favorite) but I haven't to the point where I'm familiar with the markup so I appreciate the link. It helped me with my logging. I'll eventually get on the social channels, when I set them up so cya then I suppose :D.
