Introduction
By combining Module Based Design, a Construction Set Approach, Rapid Prototyping, Test-Driven Design, Extreme Manufacturing rapid builds, and OSE Collaboration Protocol - tremendous amounts of work can be done via public engineering with a diverse Collaboration Architecture that involves people of diverse skill sets at varying skill levels.
Simply put: focus on designing modules - and only when these are proven - build assemblies from them. Do not try to build a final product as a general rule. Focus on excessive prototyping of modules while keeping applications in mind, as in the Second Toyota Paradox.

Overview of Modules: How to Design Any Machine
- Heat enclosure; heater elements, kilns for pottery, rotary kiln in a chamber for concrete production
- Universal exis - 8mm, 1", 2", 3" - hollow and solid with printed bushings of irregular size to match pipe. Applications to material feed in CNC machines.
- Universal rotary axis - indexable, high torque
- Transmissions - 3D printed belts, planetary gears, high torque chain geardown
- Tool heads - cnc sawmill, heavy duty mill, lathe chuck, 100W laser, cnc torch, router, circuit mill at small scale, etc.
- Print Tool Heads - ceramic, plastic, WAAM
- Universal Rotor - wheel and track module, including 3D printed for both, hammermill, rotary kiln module, shredder (1/2" blades), chain trencher, auger, sideways auger for trencher, 360 degree turntable for backhoe; water pump, mud pump
- Small cordless tools - drill, circular saw, welder, battery pack, etc
- Electronics - battery charger, remote control (360 backhoe), Pi tablet studio.

To build:
- High T chamber. 1 hour design sesssion. Calculations - cost, production engineering, performance, and subtract the ego so we collaborate.
- High Temperature Nozzle - special nozzles, special heater, special thermistor, firmware settings.
- Module - 1" axis. 50 lbs of torque per axis.
- Module - 2" axis with acceptable torque, 10 micron resolution. 100 lbs of force, but much higher torques and machine tool forces are allowed because shaft is 2" thick. Admissible: 15 mm belt, double axis drive. Data collection for actual results. Simple.
- Module - DIY drive belt. Much larger force belts.
