Introduction

By combining Module Based Design, a Construction Set Approach, Rapid Prototyping, Test-Driven Design, Extreme Manufacturing rapid builds, and OSE Collaboration Protocol - tremendous amounts of work can be done via public engineering with a diverse Collaboration Architecture that involves people of diverse skill sets at varying skill levels.

Simply put: focus on designing modules - and only when these are proven - build assemblies from them. Do not try to build a final product as a general rule. Focus on excessive prototyping of modules while keeping applications in mind, as in the Second Toyota Paradox.

Modules

Available:

  • Universal Rotor

To build:

  • High T chamber. 1 hour design sesssion. Calculations - cost, production engineering, performance, and subtract the ego so we collaborate.
  • High Temperature Nozzle - special nozzles, special heater, special thermistor, firmware settings.
  • Module - 1" axis. 50 lbs of torque per axis.
  • Module - 2" axis with acceptable torque, 10 micron resolution. 100 lbs of force, but much higher torques and machine tool forces are allowed because shaft is 2" thick. Admissible: 15 mm belt, double axis drive. Data collection for actual results. Simple.
  • Module - DIY drive belt. Much larger force belts.
  • Module - geardown - much larger forces
  • Module - Welder attachment for metal print
  • Module - 4-z axis system for lifting toolhead.
  • Module - Rotary axis - a chuck
  • Module - Indexing head
  • Module - electric motor
  • Module - CNC torch motion system
  • Module - CNC Torch Gas System, automatically controlled
  • Module - CNC torch ignition system
  • Module - 4x4 torch table
  • Module - 4x8 torch table
  • Module - CNC cut frame for tractor, from flats
  • Module - small CNC laser cutter, 4W
  • Module - 40W CNC laster cutter
  • Module - Rotary axis 3D printer - printing around a rotating axis
  • Module - Module - Coil winder - for Kevlar pipe, for springs
  • Complex Module - 3 Axis CNC Machine - as byproduct
  • Module - scalable battery pack - with spring loaded terminals
  • Module - 18650 welder
  • Module - $40 dollar chinese welder
  • Module - Tractor Loader, track unit cnc torch table cut, quick release plate DIY
  • Module - Power Cube vNext
  • Module - Electric Power Cube vNext - with 5 kW treadmill motor x2
  • Module - Grinder

Modules Month 2

  • Power Cube with Changfa Diesel. Research - 24 hp changfa.
