Basics
- An abbreviation for Synthesis Gas
- A Mixture of Carbon Monoxide and/or Hydrogen made from a number of processes
- It can be made from the Gasification of Solid Fuels (and also MSW / RDF , Slurry Fuels (including Sewage Sludge / Human Biosolids / Manure Slurry )
- It can be made from Fuel Reforming , in particular Steam Methane Reforming
- It can be made from Pyrolysis
- Although Pyrolysis Gas is sometimes distinct in important ways hence deserving of a different name, along with the related Coal Gas / Town Gas

- Water Gas (Partially Historical Term, Related to the Water Gas Shift Reaction which turns Syngas into a MOSTLY Hydrogen Gas Stream)
- PROX and Amine Scrubbing (or similar technology, for CO2 Scrubbing , if needed) can improve the purity further)
