  1. Complete and begin implementing DPV Recruitment and Management - 2013 Strategic Plan; complete volunteer position descriptions for: 3D Designer, Fabricator, engineer (mech, ag & power electronics)
  2. Complete & integrate top level schedule into Wiki Landing pages (Wiki Main, Events, Volunteer, DPV pages)

Mon, 26 Aug

  • Updated DPV Tracker with Emmett M.'s current status, added interview form
  • Called Century Link about more internet problems...recycled power to the modem, ocg; however, if problems persist we need to research al solutions; also found that we are only paying for .5 Mbps upload speed, which contributes to problems with design and video uploads. We should consider upgrading to 1.0 Mbps. Will research & recommend to Katie options to meet DPV/ops requirements.
  • Provided feedback to Healthcare Questionnaire
  • Created/finished Fab Lab recruiting posters: Volunteer Flyer Fab Labs (no tabs) and Volunteer Flyer Fab Labs; creating [Fab Lab distro list]
  • Updated Outdated Wiki Pages

  1. Work with team to complete Development Process - focusing on known Deliverables for the Future State to facilitate Lifetrac 6 development; UPDATE: built draft LifeTrac 6 Schedule; developed draft Product Concept Template
  2. Build academic touchpoints by 10 universities; UPDATE:
  3. Develop ISIS relationship/evaluate META tool for integration into OSE's design process; UPDATE: Spoke with Scott E and Jonathan M about tool...captured potential in the OSE blog...going to work with Gary and Katie and setting up a META tool demo for this week

  • Sent Post-DPV survey to past DPVs for follow-up (only two responses thus far)
  • Continued DPV Recruitment and Management - 2013 Strategic Plan
  • Updated and sent OSE DPV Offer to Lucas for follow-up DPV from his internship, awt response
  • Updated OSE Blog with Lucas Warner's contributions as LifeTrac 6 Product Facilitator efforts from last week
  • Updated DPV Tracker--new potential DPV--Emmett M.
  • Discussion with Catherine Austin Fitts: key points: RFIVB; Invention room, Decision room, Action room > deliverables, sources & uses have to equal, leverage schedule via add'l resources--must ensure leverage is not a drain on already scarce resources (ie staff); importance of mapping an organization's human ecology (users, developers, supporters, etc & how we interact with them); Way forward: determine our requirements by: 1) law, 2) promises/commitments (foundation, true fans, supporters), 3) ethics/contracts...develop schedule that is achievable based upon these requirements.
  • Updated OSE Protocol: Recruiting & Management Plan to include input from CAF discussion
  • Developed External Organization Alignment Database

  • Developed very draft and notional Product Concept and Key Performance Parameters template
  • Updated LifeTrac 6 schedule--inserted lag time to account for Sat/Sun work; started adding resources and responsibilities to tasks, developed schedule to facilitate "start cutting" on 9 Sep...need to verify task duration/planned efforts are correct

Wed, 7 Aug

  • Updated blog to include: future state product development, DPV arrivals and META tool, John Stager testing 3D printing on the Hydrafabber
  • Linking tasks and IDing milestones in Project Manager for LifeTrac6
  • Uploaded Hydrafabber 3D printer test week of 7-29-13
  • Directions to integrate gmail with Project Manager tool: Go to menu, scroll down to Account, click the "settings" tab; check the box "Enable email integration," then save.
  • Updated Remote Collaboration Standards and minor updated to Dedicated Project Visits

  1. Work with team to complete Development Process - Current State, Future State & Deliverables; UPDATE: completed Current State; near complete with Ideal Future State; due to the loss of an important team member, we are going to begin template development for future state for known products that will assist us with the tractor build--this will, at a minimum, be a point to deviate from once we begin to develop our future state and deliverables

Today

  • Worked with Lucas to outline immediate concerns/questions for the tractor build; developing a notional schedule in PM for Lifetrac 6
  • Completed paperwork for Jonathan Miller's DPV on behalf of ISIS (employment verification); discussed META tool and ISIS relationship/collaboration
  • Meeting to plan for Lifetrac 6
  • Evaluating build workflow from CEB press for work sample for LifeTrac 6 & Development process template/sample
  • Contacted Project Management POC requesting steps for Admin to enable the email integration feature PM App Email Integration Error Page
