Is the motor controlled with ODrive , or just standard "dumb" dc?

Also old treadmill motors etc are supposedly a good source as well for large motors (not BLDC, but assuming brushes are in good shape, and motor is free/cheap)

Trying to find a "standard" motor thats easily available and somewhat close to the stepper motor sized options

The circularknitic guys have been using these Polulu shaft mounting flanges, but theyre kinda unique so i wonder if how hard they might be to source for some people https://www.pololu.com/category/137/pololu-universal-mounting-hubs --Dorkmo (talk) 16:50, 26 May 2020 (UTC)

Are those the "Industy Standard" brand for things like this and couplings

Also outside of the Universal Rotor are we using any standard connector?

it seems like most common steppers have a 5mm shaft, but that mounting flange with 4 holes is kinda weird, but still useful.
On larger motors there are alot of stand sized motors and shafts. https://www.surpluscenter.com/images/techhelp/nema2.pdf Then also there are a lot of standard bushing sizes for those but i dont see much for smaller stuff like 5mm. --Dorkmo (talk) 19:02, 26 May 2020 (UTC)
