*Emmanouil - generate 3D CAD File of extruder
*Marcin - get Visual BOM started - calculate price
*Work as a team as much as possible to increase visible velocity
*Upload all part files to [[D3D_Extruder#Part_Files]]
Goal:
*3D CAD file of Extruder only asssembled
*vBOM complete - and total price and sourcing available
Next week:
*integrate into Universal X axis - make OSE Universal Axis interoperable with Prusa i3 rod axis spacing.
*Prototype full frame + axes, 16" long = next week
*Work with magnetic attachment as unique value proposition?

Active Developer Status Log

Reporting procedure: Please report in your log: (1) what you finished (2) what you are working on (3) any blocks or challenges. Please use {{Status Log|...}}. Then, in the list below, you can also copy those items so they are clearly visible - but make sure you update you log so that your current status is clearly visible to the world at all times.

CAD largely done, team growing, instructional template + begin of instructionals.

Beginning on Working Instructional Documents. See video above for what is going on here. Instructionals are broken down module by modulee.

Team Meeting

More about how modular design works. Developing teams in different parts of the world. Then extruder, frames DXFs for the 3D printer.

FreeCAD Workflows

12 minute video on FreeCAD based workflows: concept, design, modularity, BOMs, exploded part diagrams, visual bill of materials, fabrication drawings, and more.

D3D updated to build of frame and axes.

  • Emmanouil - source frame; finish frame CAD + Integration
  • Richard - recruit a Blender person -
  • Cedric -
  • Jean-Baptiste - source frame; infographic - start with D3D Page - especially parts breakdown. 1 part count frame, magnetic, tool head magnetic, completely modular scalable, Cat 5 wiring, minimum parts count high performance - no moving bed; enclosable structure - warm inside; Construction Set Approach - huge; design for social production XM - stadium scale build.
  • Jonathan - build ongoing
  • Jose Urra - BOM for D3D; updating extruder files
  • Marcin - source frame - do infographic text; electronics

OSE Development team progress and tracking. FreeCAD badge.

Best Practice Update: all documents should be made are global open edit instead of select member open edit. Global open edit scales to dozens of developers, the latter doesn't.

  • Jonathan- Print and assemble all axis - Order cuts for frame, Take FreeCAD Test, begin protyping wiring harness
  • Cedric - Extruder + Heat Bed CAD
  • Marcin - build printer
  • Emmanouil - finish axes and overall printer assembly
  • Brian - ?
