In 2012, OSE started the Backhoe 2 (Deep Dig) redesign. The new backhoe will have an increased range of motion and use the Bobcat quick attach standard to attach to the LifeTrac 6.

* to have an increased range of motion,
* to use the standard [[Warehouse]] parts as much as possible, and
* to use the Bobcat quick attach standard to attach to the LifeTrac 6.

Status

In 2012, OSE started the Backhoe 2 (Deep Dig) redesign. The goals of the new backhoe are:

  • to have an increased range of motion,
  • to use the standard Warehouse parts as much as possible, and
  • to use the Bobcat quick attach standard to attach to the LifeTrac 6.

For Oct 2013 work:

  • Dan Log, Cody Log, Marcin Log, and James Log.
  • Development Board
  • The main open issue is redesigning the main pivot so that we have somewhere to mount the hydraulics to get as close to 180 degrees of side to side movement.
  • Another known task is adding bushings to all 1" pivots since they have too much slack.
