About

OSE's goal is to create the open source economy - ie, transition the economic system from proprietary to collaborative - a transition to Structural Thriving or Mutually Assured Abundance. The Post-Scarcity Economy, where business models are based on Non-Rival Goods or non-scarce resources. Information is non-scarce. When information is combined with hardware in the context of the Open Source Hardware movement, then the result is physical goods beginning to enter the realm of non-scarce resources. Ie, with access to energy, goods can be produced readily from open source blueprints in open source microfactories. This is part of a Regenerative approach to creating economic systems. The revenue models are based on empowerment via access to Financial Independence - not by hoarding of information or of resulting enterprise prowess.
