About

OSE's goal is to create the open source economy - ie, transition the economic system from proprietary to collaborative - a transition to Structural Thriving or Mutually Assured Abundance. See the OSE Vision. OSE is contributing to the Post-Scarcity Economy, where business models are based on Non-Rival Goods or non-scarce resources. Information is non-scarce. When information is combined with hardware in the context of the Open Source Hardware movement, then the result is physical goods beginning to enter the realm of non-scarce resources. Ie, with access to energy, goods can be produced readily from open source blueprints in open source microfactories. This is part of a Regenerative approach to creating economic systems. The revenue models are based on empowerment via access to Financial Independence - not by hoarding of information or of resulting enterprise prowess. A critical component of this empowerment is education.

OSE envisions the creation of an integrated, rapid learning facility - as part of its OSE Campus global village-building. The key is 10x learning in 10x less time - as afforded by structural design dedicated specifically to this purpose. This immersive education must be integrated: spanning applied science, humanities, psychology, economics and more. The basic idea is that responsible denizens or stewards of the Earth must understand how complex ecosystems - anthropogenic and wild - function and how their parts relate to one another.
