Idea

The overall Information in each thread isn't very high normally, but it is hell of a mess to work through all the Mails of one thread again to collect the relevant information. Thus the idea of the Information Log ist ot provide a summary of a thread in the mailinglist or the forum (as soon as it runs).

Best Practises

We would love You to contribute. As the Log should be something like the entry point to the information discussed in the thread of the mailinglist, it should summarize everything that was said, but also refer to wider information through linking to external resources as well as internal resources. Thus the main points to collect are:

• Essential Information and results of discussions including references to the mail number in the Google Groups Tree View of the most important Mails that contained key insights.
• Reference to Wiki Pages on which changes were made by the users after the discussion
• References to external Resources that where mentioned in the Thread and are of relevance
• References to other Mailing List Threads that discussed a similar topic.
• You may use THIS as a template for the summary (click on 'edit' and copy-paste the content to Your page)
