• Mar from CircularKnitic suggested using solenoid to operate the needle movement
  • due to the limited travel distance, i think some sort of lever with a bearing will be needed
  • will need to transfer the lever's circular motion into linear

• worked on knitic
  • changed to a printed drive gear
    • avoiding a $6 single source part
  • added holes for stepper motor
    • could use regular DC, but in the future might use steps to customize mountain use
  • changed table top to octogon, added holes for mounting legs
    • calculating tabletop OD using stepper motor width and gear sizes
  • added some needles to the full assembly model to check placement
  • need to add bolts to smallbearingholder to make sure the nut/head dont hit anything
