Succeeded in Shuttleworth Fellowship 2013 Submission for another year of support. Began Prototyping Standards for OSE work. Continuing Christmas Gift to the World and CEB Press CAM Files including Brick Press Digital Fabrication Ergonomics - deadline by today and can postpone by 1-2 days on production run as backup plan if necessary.

From 10 AM to 8:30PM, prepared CEB press for video shoot on Monday - mounting cylinder, drawer, and frame inside arms. Complication due to 4" u-channel lip on verticals. Kavitha left at 3 PM. Modular supports, cam holders, and sensor holders are a welcome simplification and key to parallel development.

FellowUp at 9, got a copy of Francois' proposal for Crowdcrafting-related mashups, and started Proposal Contruction Set after thinking about the usefulness of others' proposals, even if failed. Working on Torch Table Digital Fabrication Process for torch table cutouts based on LibreCAD and library files for unique parts. Started Frame DXF Files of the Christmas Gift to the World.

Day Goals: Continue Christmas Gift to the World. Deploy Modeling Team for CNC laser/router cutouts of CEB press frame. Finish Frame and Hopper interface plate. Make another order from SurplusCenter for CEB parts. Make MoKan fastener order.Goal Assesment from Yesterday: Frame done for front and back face, but not u-channel lips or vertical u-channel web. Success in importing libraries to LibreCAD, such as elongated frame holes. Beginning evidence of crowd collaboration possibility as in CEB drawer building - where fab drawings may be converted to DXF files for CNC torch table - using a ubiquitously accessible LibreCAD 2D package. Otherwise, drawer DXFs not done. Overall assessment: 8 hour build of complete CEB press including electronics looks completely feasible. 11 people participating so far. Started Community Manager Role Description. Conceptualized 2D CAM File Flash Mob and CAM Flash Mob within context of CEB Press 1-day production run. Started Strategic Collaboration Construction Set. Sending out CEB Frame Test CAM Flash Mob Request. Touching on Development and Documentation Standards. Found Manufacturing Category at P2P Foundation

Working on DXFs for CNC torch cutout in Christmas Gift to the World. Rough cut of Project Manager Role Description. Edited first 12 pages of Character Stand and Promise. Secured CNC Torch Table cutting ability from Ben Horton. Reworked frame design for CNC Torch Table fabrication, including compression chamber spacers to eliminate unique part count for spacer. Going to 3.5" u-channel weldment lips to ensure no warping occurs. Week Goals: full CAD ready and shipped to Ben Horton for entire CEB Press. Cylinder and Hydraulics and Power Cube arrive at FeF. Secure CEB controller fabrication by Tuesday, 8PM. 5-10 Prototype requests sent by 2PM Thursday to Modeling Team. Adding to Strategic Partnerships. Talked to Emily for 2 hours on branding work - concluding on campaign to recruit Project Director as a specific campaign. Will visit Emily about Jan 17, first half of January on Documentation and Development Guidelines development with Catarina - in preparation for graphic design with Emily. We will work out media strategy/chapters strategy at that time as well. Wrote section on Radical Transparency of Conflict Resolution Process at Conflict Resolution#Radical Transparency. Beginning on the OSE Christmas Gift to the World 2012. Getting introduced to Leslie Koch on potential Governor's Island project on urban ag + tractor. Staring Documentation Standards. Parker finishing True Fans Handling Process - sending out first email since months re 1-Day Production Run.
